Stina Gray – Sagoheim Storytelling

Sagoheim means story home or story realm, and I see it as a sanctuary for the magic and wisdom of story and myth. Here, the trees tell tales, the rivers sing songs and the mountains whisper in an ancient tongue known only by those who listen with the very soles of their feet.

Sagoheim is a storytelling hearth and voice for the singing Earth.

My name is Stina Gray and I’m a professional storyteller, ethnologist and author with roots in Sweden and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Storytelling is my passion. I tell stories in Swedish and English for adults and children. I create enchanting, heart-warming and rewilding experiences of story and myth with performances, workshops, women’s circles, story walks and retreats.

Have a look around HERE at my website to learn about the tales I tell and where you can find me telling them. Welcome to my travelling storytelling hearth!

When the Woods Sang: Returning to the Singing Earth

One winter’s day in a forest in southern Sweden, Stina Gray found a story unlike anything she had ever heard before. The story initiated a journey that took her deep into the singing, weeping woods of her Motherland and to the heart of her path as a storyteller. The journey awakened her senses to the lore of the land, showing her that everyone and everything has a song to sing and a story to tell. The Earth is singing. When the Woods Sang is a book about that journey and about some of the songs, stories and people she met along the way.
